Why Was Mindful QA Nominated?
The criteria for the “Testing Manager of the Year” award finalists is more thorough than ever. For instance, it includes:
- Excellent people management and communication skills
- Evidence of achieving project aims and targets through effective leadership
- Proof of commitment to the wider testing and QE (Quality Engineering) community
- Examples of procedures put in place to ensure high quality results
- Evidence of a commitment to high quality and standards

Who Judges the Awards?
The finalists and winners are picked by an independent panel of 12 QA professionals. According to the official awards site:
The Software Testing & QE Awards judges are appointed based on their extensive experience in the software testing and QE field. Accordingly, these seasoned professionals, all of whom currently hold senior management roles, guarantee that each entry is judged fairly and accurately.
The awards ensure complete impartiality. For instance, all entries are judged anonymously with company and/or individual names, products, or references to any identifiable solution and/or service being removed before being distributed to the judges.
In conclusion, this stringent process means that each winner of an award has done so based purely on merit. This is done regardless of company size, budget, customer base, market share, influence, vendor, academic, end user, consultant or otherwise. Above all, the Software Testing & QE Awards truly is an independent awards program that recognizes and rewards outstanding achievement.
